  • White matte aluminium, 3mm. Gelato's own product record calls this stock “Aluminium White Matte – 3mm”: a rigid panel with a matte white coating that the ink sits on. Frameless, wipe-clean, and it will not warp in a damp cabin the way a mounted paper print can.
  • Matte, not gloss. Worth knowing if you have seen a glossy metal print elsewhere: this one does not mirror the room, and it does not have the lacquered depth that gloss gives a dark photograph. What it gives instead is a picture you can read from any angle, in a cabin where every wall faces a window.
  • Quality checked: No blurry prints. We grade your photo against each size and disable any it isn't sharp enough for, so the metal print arrives crisp.

Questions before you go

What photo resolution do I need?

The same grading as every other format: 300 pixels per inch at the finished size is the ideal, 140 the floor, and anything under it is refused rather than printed soft. Metal holds an edge hard, so a file that looked acceptable on paper can look brittle here: nearer 300 than 140 is worth having on this one.

How do I hang it?

The panel is rigid and frameless, so it hangs from whatever fixing the mounting on the back takes — the hardware comes from the printer rather than from us, and we would rather point you at the box than describe a fitting we have not verified. It needs no frame and no glass.
