- Canvas on a 2cm FSC stretcher. Solid wood, and it needs no border and no frame.
- The wrap does not eat your photograph. The face you approve stays the face: the band that goes round the edge is generated from a scaled copy of the picture rather than cut out of it, so the sides carry a soft, blurred band taken from your picture's colours and the boat is not clipped by the frame edge.
- Sized against your file. Every size is graded against the resolution of what you upload, and the ones it cannot carry are switched off before you choose.
- UK delivery, 4–9 working days. Made-to-order, ships boxed and tracked. Free UK delivery.

What canvas does to a photograph
Canvas is a woven surface with no glass over it, and that changes the picture in two ways worth knowing before you choose it over paper. It softens fine detail, because the weave itself is coarser than the ink: rigging lines, distant lettering and the fine work on a painted panel all lose a little. And it kills reflection completely, which is why it suits a cabin wall opposite a porthole where a glazed frame would show you nothing but the window.
The trade is straightforward. A photograph with a strong shape — the whole boat against water, a bow wave, a lock gate — gains from canvas. A photograph whose point is a small detail is better on paper.
Choosing the size
30x40 cm is a cabin-scale piece and the one that fits between portholes. 40x50 cm is the usual gift size. 50x70 and 60x80 cm are house sizes: on a boat they take a whole wall, which is right above a stove and wrong almost everywhere else.
